He adores all people and dogs and loves the big city life here in NYC where everyone on the block knows him and he gets their pets when we’re out on walks. His favorite things are being outside, going on all the road trips with us, being with his people and eating all his human little sister’s food! He is simply the best and we are so grateful to have been chosen as his family.

He was about 2.5 years old and has adjusted very well to couch sleeping, lots of snuggles and playing with our other 2 dogs! Hes the best addition to the family even still 4 years later!
Dixie girl rescue was easy and enjoyable to adopt through! We recommend them constantly to all our friends and family looking to add to their fur family.

WAYLON:
I adopted Waylon, fka Cody, from the ABC litter. He was the last of his litter to be adopted at 6 months old. He is the sweetest boy with extreme anxiety. He started out with nervous pees, barking and running at and away from people. Through hiking the Belknaps and the White Mountains (plus going into stores) he has come a long way. He is currently 2.5 years old and will now approach people without barking, likes swimming, playing with other dogs, going to breweries, and showing off his tricks of rolling over and spinning around.

ALBERT"
This is Albert- adopted from Dixie Girl Dog Rescue in August 2021. As soon as we saw Albert online, we felt strongly he was meant for our little family. He had made every day better- from long walks and adventures to snuggles on the couch, it’s hard to think back on life before him. We encourage anyone thinking of welcome a furry friend to consider adopting. While Albert had a harder upbringing, he has so much love and fun to offer, and so do the other dogs at DGDR! Now that we have him, we wouldn’t have done it any other way. Thank you DGDR for allowing us to give Albert a new home and making our lives better in the process!
Kerry

HOPE:
Hope, previously Roxxie, is so vocal and absolutely hilarious. She's opinionated, energetic, sassy, sweet and absolutely loves life! It's so fun to watch her experience new things. It's like watching a toddler. She's curious, excited, nervous and then you see pure joy in her expressions. She's so smart, a fast learner, a protector and a friend. Hope was not only worth saving but she's also an amazing blessing. Every dog deserves a chance to be loved.

Danielle
BINX:
Meet Binx,
He’s 125 pounds of energy and so much love. There is so much to say about our “pony” but one of his most unique traits is his ability to adjust how he interacts with other dogs no matter their age or temperament. I’ve seen him get older dogs that haven’t played or run much in years to play like puppies, he plays tug with 10 pound dogs so gently it’s hard to believe he can control his strength (he can pull me around the house if he really wanted to!) and one of my most memorable moments will be seeing him playing with a handicap dog by laying down on the ground so that the other dog can crawl on top of him and join in on the fun. We are forever grateful that Tammy Long Floore picked us to adopted this wonderful boy and for Dixie Girl Dog Rescue for saving this amazing boy and all the other fur babies!
Alyssa
CLARA:
This is Clara (I’ll be adding more pics to the bottom) we adopted her on May 1, 2021. She has been the best thing to happen to anyone that meets her. Clara has changed a lot of people’s perception on bully breed dogs. She’s very loving but is also protective of her loved ones. Clara goes crazy for bunnies. She loves to sleep and sunbathe on her Italian leather couch but also loves to go on long hikes with her dad. Clara also loves taking car rides to different places with her mom and getting pets in the backseat from her sister. She’s living her best dog life. Thanks Dixie girl for such an amazing dog
Stef

Here are Daisy (black pup 3.5 yrs aka Hope) and Buster (Smores colored, 2.5 yrs, aka Linus from Peanuts litter) we love our pups and were so surprised how well adopting from afar worked for us! We made out with Daisy! And we were convinced to try again and got our Buster-boo. They are a great combo and a great addition to home security. We could not recommend working with Dixie Girl Dog Rescue enough. Thank you! The D’Antonio Family!
